Mr. Aumen was born near Littlestown, the son of Bernard and Margaret Aumen. For many years, he was with the Crown Drill Works, as a traveling salesman. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and St. Francis Xavier Beneficial Society, Gettysburg.
Mr. Aumen was twice married. His first wife was Miss Jennie Rider of near Gettysburg. One child survives of that union. His second wife was Miss Rose Hemler, who survives with three children. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Francis, Gettysburg; Edward and Sylvester, Littlestown; Cornelius, York; Mrs. Samuel Rinsel, Lebanon; Mrs. Kate Kuhn, near Littlestown; Mrs. Lucinda Stansbury, Littlestown; Mrs. Jacob Muhrn, Centennial.
The body was brought to the home of James B. Aumen, West Middle St., on the 1:45 train Friday morning. Funeral from Mr. Aumen's home at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning, followed by a high requiem mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 10:00 o'clock with interment in the church cemetery.

Robert Samuel Aumen can't be buried in Hershey Cemetery as the person buried there is Robert William Aumen Jr. and the wife and parents are totally different. For instance, this person's mother is listed as Carrie Blessing Smith not Mary Mertha Weaver and I have other info that states that his mother is Mary Rohrkasse.
